Farm Implements & Attachments, Balers, Blades

Farm Implements & Attachments, Balers, Blades: Farm implements and attachments are machinery items that are used to help farmers on the farm. Owing to the technological advances in agricultural sector, there is no farming task for which machinery is not available. Soil cultivation, planting, fertilizing, irrigating, harvesting, loading and plenty of other tasks can be carried out by machines and hence life on the farm has become much easier than what it used to be. Buying the right farm implements has become harder as a lot of variety is available from popular manufacturers and you really need to consider all angles and options before investing your money.

Balers are used for hay making purposes. Not only do balers compress the cut or raked crop into bales but will also bind these with twine. Before the advent of balers, most of the hay was wasted and not utilized as a livestock feed. A wide variety of balers is now available for farmers to choose from.

You can add blades or box blades to your tractor in order to accomplish a number of tasks. These blades are available from a large number of manufacturers and are of various sizes and quality and depending upon your budget, you’ll be able to spot the right one.

Cultivators, Disc Harrows, Grain Equipment

Cultivators, Disc Harrows, Grain Equipment: A cultivator is a piece of farm machinery that is powered by a tractor. The task given to the cultivator is to stir the soil. This can take place either prior to the plantation of seeds or afterwards when the crop is growing. In the first case, the purpose is to pulverize the soil while in the latter case, the objective is to make the soil more loosened and get rid of the weeds that surround crops. Smaller form of cultivators is used in gardening for carrying out tasks like mixing the soil with fertilizers and organic matter etc.

A disc harrow can also be used for carrying out the above tasks but it doesn’t go as deep as the cultivator and hence may or may not be suitable for your requirement. Plenty of different models from popular manufacturers such as John Deere are available and should be considered before making the final decision.

Grain equipment includes lots of important farm machinery items such as grain cleaner, grain table, grain cart, grain moisture meter, grain drills, grain grinder etc. You’ll need most of these machines to deal better with grain and seeds on your farm. You can seek used stuff from online auction websites.

Harvesting Equipment, Hay Rakes, Hitches

Harvesting Equipment, Hay Rakes, Hitches: Harvesting sounds like the most interesting activity on the farm but even this would be a tedious task without the many harvesting machines and equipment that are available for today’s farming community. A combine machine, which is also called a thresher, is used for multiple purposes such as harvesting, threshing and cleaning the grain crops. There are specialized machines like cotton picker, corn harvester, potato digger etc that are used to harvest certain crops. Harvesting of rice is made easier by way of using huller machines on the farm.

Hay rake is an important machine used in the hay making process. It’s job is to gather cut hay into windrows where the underside can dry and hence this can be efficiently picked up by the baler. Modern hay rakes are mechanized stuff mostly driven by tractors but can be driven by draft animals in older part of the world or can even be a hand tool for small gardening purposes. Hay rakes can be classified into three categories, which are parallel bar, rotary and wheel.

Hitches are used to join farm machinery and implements with a tractor. Most of the hitches are of 3-point type. You can buy these hitches online from auction websites and many used products are also available in good condition.
